This volume presents a selection of articles which aim to explore the boundaries of the grammatical phenomenon known as reduplication. By looking into cases that go beyond the scope of prototypical reduplication we gain a deeper understanding of reduplicative processes. The authors discuss various phenomena such as echo word constructions, ideophones and triplications, which challenge the formal and functional criteria for reduplication proper.
