The book explains Le Corbusier?s relationship with religion it introduces his designs for La Sainte-Baume, the Chapel of Notre Dame du Haut de Ronchamp, La Tourette monastery, and the church of St. Pierre, and investigates his impact on the ensuing church architecture of the twentieth century in Europe. For the second edition, the introduction, the conclusion, and the bibliography have been revised and supplemented.
