This book presents in detail an innovative robust multigrid method for solving (initial-)boundary value problems on structured grids in a black-box manner. Based on the application of the essential multigrid principle in a single grid algorithm, this technique gives extremely simple, very robust and highly parallel solvers with close-to-optimal algorithmic complexity and a minimum of problem-dependent components.
